Peter Kitchen, A legend not only for Rovers, but also for Orient. Kitchen was born in Mexborough and started his career with home town club Doncaster Rovers in 1970 making his debut at the tender age of 18 where he would go on to score after just 2 minutes against Shrewsbury Town. Known for his deadly strike partnership with Brendan O’Callaghan and Mike Elwiss, Kitchen was a stalwart for Rovers for 7 years, which included a 2-2 with Division 1 powerhouses Liverpool in 1974 before heading to Orient where in his 2 seasons in East London, he would finish his first season as their top scorer and as a FA Cup semi finalist
